Defender
biography-icon Biography
A vastly-experienced and versatile defender, Elrich signed for Glory midway through the 2019-20 campaign and made his bow in purple during the Round 18 victory over Wellington. Having started out with Sydney Olympic in the NSL, he subsequently spent seven years with Newcastle and helped the Jets secure the Championship in 2008. Following a season at Western Sydney Wanderers, which yielded a Premiership-winners' medal, the Sydneysider completed a switch to Adelaide United where he went on to make more than 100 A-League appearances. During his time with the Reds, Elrich enjoyed further success in the form of an FFA Cup title in 2014 and a Premiership/Championship double in 2016. He then rejoined Western Sydney ahead of putting pen to paper with Glory. At international level, meanwhile, the 33-year-old was capped at Under-20 and Under-23 level before winning the first of his three Socceroos caps to date in a 2015 friendly against Macedonia.
