Osama Malik

30-year-old Malik was recruited by Glory ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 campaign following a stint in Saudi Arabia with Al-Batin. A versatile defender who can also slot in as a holding midfielder, he began his career with his hometown club, Adelaide United. He returned to the Reds in 2011 following two seasons with the now-defunct North Queensland Fury and was a part of the side that lifted the 2014 FFA Cup. Malik secured another FFA Cup winners' medal during a subsequent spell at Melbourne City before moving to Glory where he has subsequently taken his tally of A-League appearances past the 180-mark.
