Mills joined Glory in 2016 having spent the previous eight years racking up nearly 180 appearances for a number of clubs across the divisions in his native England. The Swindon-born defender was a part of the same youth academy at Southampton that produced the likes of Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott and he made his senior debut for Saints at the age of just 18. In total, he chalked up 26 appearances for the south coast club and also enjoyed successful loan spells at both Scunthorpe and Doncaster before completing a permanent move to Reading in 2011. The former England Under-17 and Under-18 international later played for Burnley, Shrewsbury and Oldham ahead of his move to Glory for whom he made 19 Hyundai A-League starts in his debut season. His brother Matt, meanwhile, is currently plying his trade in the English Championship with Nottingham Forest. Mills has plied his trade in the tough divisions of the English Championship and League One over the past eight (8) years and has made nearly 180 appearances for Southampton, Reading, Burnley and more recently Oldham Athletic. The 26-year old attacking full-back is a product of Southampton Football Club's academy where he trained and lived with English superstars Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott. He made his debut for the Saints senior team at just 18. He and his brother Matthew (currently at Nottingham Forest FC) have represented the ‘Three Lions’ (England) at youth level (U-17, U-18 and U-19).
