Jason Davidson

27-year-old Davidson has enjoyed a wide-ranging career to date, featuring spells in Portugal, Holland and England where Pacos de Fereira, Heracles Almelo, Groningen, West Bromwich Albion and Huddersfield Town were among the clubs he served. Most recently, the Melburnian was on the books of Croatian side Rijeka from whom he spent last season on loan in Slovenia at Olimpija Ljublijana, helping them seal a league and cup double. At international level, meanwhile, he represented Australia at Under-20 level before making his Socceroos debut against Scotland in 2012. He featured in all three of the Socceroos’ games at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, was a key member of the 2015 Asian Cup-winning side and has now accumulated a total of 22 senior caps. Davidson can operate equally effectively at left-back or centre-back.
