Biography
Highly-rated Matildas goalkeeper Eliza Campbell was one of Glory’s key new recruits for the Westfield W-League 2018/19 season.
After attending the Queensland Academy of Sport, she made her W-League debut for the Newcastle Jets and spent two years with the club before opting to try her luck overseas.
For the next two seasons she represented firstly Medkila and then Klepp in the Norwegian top flight where she further honed her skills by training with the respective men’s teams.
Campbell returned to Australia in 2016 to join Adelaide United and a year later, the former Australia Under-17 and Under-20 international won her first senior Matildas cap against China.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar debut season for Glory in 2018/19, establishing herself among the W-League's very best goalkeepers as she played a key role in the club's run to the Grand Final.
