Biography

Taggart began his career with Glory, debuting for the first team in 2011 and going on to make ten appearances before completing a move to Newcastle Jets.

In his second season with the Hunter Valley club, the powerful striker scored 16 times to claim the Hyundai A-League Golden Boot and that eye-catching form earned him a move to Fulham.

Injury unfortunately hampered his time at Craven Cottage, however and after a loan spell with Dundee United, he returned to Glory in 2016.

The 24-year-old duly bagged 12 goals last term, forging a prolific strike partnership with Andy Keogh.

At international level, meanwhile, he featured for the Socceroos at the 2014 World Cup and has won a total of seven senior caps to date, scoring three goals.
