Fantastic, remarkable, superb; you can pretty much pick any superlative you like to describe the performances of the PGFC Academy Under-16 side at the JSSL 7s tournament in Singapore.
A 2-1 win over Liverpool and draws with Manchester United and Valencia have been among the highlights as the youngsters have blasted their way into Monday’s semi-finals.
Still unbeaten in the tournament, Glory drew four and won three of their group games, downing hosts JSSL FC and Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds in addition to Liverpool.
Those results saw them finish second in the overall standings behind Valencia and earn an automatic spot in the last four alongside the La Liga giants.

Glory will be looking to go one better than last year when they were defeated by Portuguese powerhouse club, Sporting Lisbon, in the final.
