We take our hats off to Newcastle United and crown them ‘Team of the Week- for last week-s effort against the invincible Sydney FC, handing the Sky Blues their first loss since round one of last season!

Westfield W-League fans were extremely lucky to witness this thrilling match between The Jets and the league leaders on TV, allowing fans who recorded it to be able to view the exhibition over and over again for years to come.

The Jets were down 1-0 for most the match, up until the 84th minute, up until star substitute and saviour Tara Andrews arrived!

The youngster changed the game when she came on, scoring the equaliser from outside the box, sparking the match into a complete frenzy with five minutes to go.

Dissatisfied with a draw, Andrews picked up the ball on the halfway line, looked up to see Sydney FC’s keeper out of her goal and without hesitation, drove the ball into the back of the net, claiming the win for her team!

Newcastle will be a hard team to beat this week, carrying bags of confidence they take from that win! Can Perth Glory step up to the challenge this Sunday following their heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Brisbane last round!?

Perth were awfully unlucky to leave Brisbane empty handed last round, conceding a goal, only to lose 1-0 in extra time.

Glory defended well against a dominating Roar attack, keeping them out for most of the game, however they couldn-t hold on for the draw and the well deserved point.

Taking a look at the ladder heading into Week 5, it-s safe to say that Perth-s current position at 6th place is not indicative of what they are potentially capable of.

Most people would agree that The Glory are considered to be a top four team with some of the talent they possess, however time is running out for points and they need to start turning that potential into results!

Head down to 6PR Stadium in Perth this weekend to see if the Glory girls can achieve their potential and topple over the team of the moment and impressive 3rd place Jets!
