Perth Glory FC coach Kenny Lowe has described the remaining seven games of the season like “playing seven cup finals”.

Glory will face Wellington Phoenix at nib Stadium tonight in what promises to be a hard fought top of the table clash.

The New Zealanders trail Glory by only a point, but the men in purple have beaten the Phoenix twice this season, 2-1 on both occasions.

However Lowe warned, the previous results mean nothing and stressed Saturday night’s match was a must win game.

“There’s no easy games left in this league now. There are seven cup finals for us and this is the first cup final,” Lowe said.

“We’re ready for a win. If we’re going to do anything we need to win games like this.”

While Glory hasn’t won in seven matches, it’s also been undefeated in the past four, and after 17 weeks, remains at the top of the table.

Lowe said with the pointy end of the season in full swing, everybody had to be committed.

“Everyone’s raising the bar, everyone’s going up a notch, and there are no easy games left”.

The clash will also mark another milestone for goalkeeper Danny Vukovic who will play his 222nd match- the equal most number of Hyundai A-League appearances.

Lowe said hands down, ‘Vuka’ was the best keeper in the land.

“He’s just fantastic isn’t he? He’s the best keeper in the league by a country mile at the moment”.

A storm may be brewing with the tail end of Cyclone Olwyn dumping heavy rain across the south of the state but Lowe wasn’t worried about getting wet.

“My hair goes curly in the rain” he joked..

Kick-off is at 6.30pm tonight.
