Perth Glory FC is proud to announce it has captured the signature of Western Australian rising star Jamal Reiners on a two year youth contract.

The 17-year old striker, is a product of WA’s National Training Centre (NTC) and has featured in Australia’s U-16 and U-17 tours and tournaments in Italy and Hong Kong.

Last year he was part of the inaugural intake of 24 scholars to be based at Football Federation of Australia’s Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

After living interstate for the past 18 months, Reiners has spent the past two weeks training with Glory and has secured a contract with Glory’s Foxtel National Youth League team.

“He’s young, he’s a forward, and he’s aggressive and quick” said Glory’s head coach Kenny Lowe.

“He’s got the pedigree, and I’m sure he’ll be a weapon for Gibbo (NYL coach John Gibson) and if he shows promise, who knows from there“ Lowe added.
