Danny Vukovic is ready for the Wellington Phoenix, the Wellington weather and the Wellington fans in tomorrow-s rivalry game at Westpac Stadium.

Enjoying a stellar start to the season, Vukovic knows he-s in for a tough afternoon, having played for the nix last season.

Unfortunately, Perth Glory don-t have a great record at the ground in recent seasons but Vukovic has identified three keys to victory.

THE WEATHER

“The conditions in Wellington are so different to any other A-League ground. The wind is strong and it-s also normally wet. Wellington are used to those conditions and it-s a plus for them.

“The good news is today was a beautiful day, with no wind and the temperature around 20 degrees.”

Vukovic knows just how deadly that breeze can be, having almost scored against Perth Glory last season, when a causal clearance bounced over Velaphi and onto the crossbar.

YELLOW FEVER

“The fever are a great bunch of supporters who are passionate, loud and give the Phoenix players a big lift.

“But they can be silenced, and an early goal normally does the trick.”

THE INTERNATIONALS

“It-s the obvious trio but Paul Ifill, Tim Brown and Leo Bertos are three guns.

“Ifill has returned to his best, Brown is a dangerous goal scoring midfielder as he showed against Sydney and Leo is a real handful.

“Stopping those three will go a long way to helping us win.”
