Top of the table Perth ready to Roar in Brisbane

After going down 2-1 in their midweek fixture against champions Canberra United, Westfield W-League leaders Perth Glory will be trying to bounce back this Saturday morning against Brisbane Roar.

The Round 8 clash is the match of the round and should be another blockbuster as the Roar sits third on the table, two points behind the Glory.

In-form Perth Glory and Westfield Matildas striker Lisa De Vanna is no stranger to big matches, and the 28-year-old star can-t wait to get back on the field tomorrow morning.

“We-re all very disappointed with the Canberra game,” said De Vanna.

“I think we dominated the second half and had Collette-s (McCallum) goal disallowed which was really frustrating.

“We knew coming in to the game that it was going to be tough, especially playing away for three games in a row, so we need to get as many points as possible to stay on top.

“Brisbane has a lot of quality players that I-ve had as teammates at club and national level and we know it-s going to be a very physical game.

“It-s going to be tough, but we know that it-s a good chance to perform well and set our season up.”

Coach Jamie Harnwell has a full strength squad at his disposal and the team will return to Perth following the match to prepare for next week-s crucial away match against Sydney FC.

Tomorrow-s match will be streamed live via and a delayed highlights package can be seen on ABC1 from 1.30pm.
