Ferguson has added five players to an extended squad of 20, with Travis Dodd named after getting through today-s sharp training session.
Dodd was also impressive for the Youth team on Sunday, his first game since injuring his hamstring against Sydney FC on November 12.
The former Socceroo has looked lively this week as he aims to win a recall, along with Steven McGarry and the young trio of Adam Taggart, Jesse Makarounas and Josh Risdon.
The clash with the Heart is the first of three home games for Perth Glory at home during the busy festive season after a tough start to the season on the road.
The Heart have recalled former Perth Glory captain Simon Colosimo and attackers Alex Terra and David Williams.
The visitors though will be without midfielder Jonathan Germano. The Argentinian has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
