In one of the most significant signings in world football, Sam Mac will be Perth Glory-s match day announcer.
“It-s one of the great coups in sport,” Perth Glory Marketing Manager Steve Nelkovski said.
Sam Mac is one third of 92.9’s Breakfast Show ‘Lisa, Baz and Sam’ plus he’s the face of Perth for Channel 10’s 7pm Project.
Even more impressively, he’s a huge Soccer fanatic. As a youngster Sam represented Australia at International Schoolboy level.
Even though he’s not playing these days, he assures us that he’s “still got it”, he practically begged us to mention that he scored nine goals in a game of Indoor Soccer last week.
This claim is yet to be verified by the Indoor Soccer Association.
Sam Mac will be immediately rushed into the Glory line-up, beginning this Saturday for the blockbuster against Scottish FA Cup Champions Celtic at nib Stadium.
“Sam was the man at the top of our wish list.
“While the big European clubs continue to battle for the likes of Cesc Fabregas we believe we have signed a star,” Nelkovski added.
