ROAD TRIP TESTS GLORY

Perth Glory FC faces its toughest road trip yet, as it prepares for season ten of the Hyundai A-league.

The boys from the west have travelled across the Nullarbor to play Adelaide United at Coopers stadium tomorrow and Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on Sunday.

Perth Glory FC has played eight pre-season matches so far, including a 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets in the first round of the Westfield FFA Cup and a 1-1 draw with La Liga giants Malaga CF at nib stadium.

But this week promises to be a different encounter.

Perth’s Scott Jamieson -a former United player- expects a tough hit out.

“I think it’ll be another step towards where we want to be, they’ve been together for about two seasons where we’ve been together for about two months now, so it’s a good chance to see where we’re at but we go over with the intention of winning and playing well”.

Jamieson missed most of last season after suffering an achilles injury but is now back fighting fit, in his third season wearing the purple strip.

“On the pitch it’s a progress, we’re still trying to work each other out I guess and trying to find the right combination but that will come into place by the first game of the season I’m sure”.

Jamieson also regards Victory as one of the benchmark teams in the league and is looking forward to going head to head with a sqaud that boasts the explosive and dynamic striker, Besart Barisha.

“They’re a team that’s been together for quite a while, for me that’s another great test but even though it’s a friendly we like to beat them”.

Kick off for the clash between Perth Glory FC and Melbourne Victory is at 12pm WST on Father’s Day.

The match is closed to the public but will be streamed live on the Victory website.

Access to the live stream will be announced later this week.

The match in Adelaide against United kicks off at 3pm on Thursday, September 4 and is also closed to the public.
