Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that Liam Reddy has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The vastly-experienced goalkeeper has been a virtual ever-present since joining Glory in 2016, chalking up 130 A-League appearances, 29 of which came in the Premiership-winning 2018/19 campaign.

Reddy, who now sits fifth in Glory’s all-time A-League appearances list, is excited by the prospect of staying on in what has become very much his adopted home city and playing his part in driving the club forward.

“I’m thrilled to re-sign with the football club,” he said, “and my family are really pleased to be staying in Perth.

“I’d like to thank the Members and fans for their fantastic support over the years which has been hugely appreciated by myself and my family.

“I’d also like to thank our goalkeeping coach Danny Milosevic for all his tireless work and I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with him and the rest of the coaching staff over the next two years.”

Glory Head Coach Richard Garcia, meanwhile, is pleased that Reddy has pledged his future to the club.

“Liam is an experienced goalkeeper who has done very well during his time with Glory,” he said.

“He still has a lot of playing left in him and we look forward to him continuing to be an important member of the squad.”

Glory CEO Tony Pignata also feels that the man with over 300 career A-League appearances to his name will continue to have a key role to play in purple.

“Liam showed on the field once again last season that he remains a quality goalkeeper,” he said, “and I’m sure our Members and fans are looking forward to seeing him make a similar impact in the coming years as we endeavour to achieve sustained success at the club.”
