Perth Glory will be looking for a knockout win to start pre-season after putting its support behind one of the most anticipated bouts at the Royal Queensbury Corporate Challenge, a charity boxing event to be held at Burswood Entertainment Complex on Friday night.

Channel Seven promotions co-ordinator Kim McDougall will represent the Glory in an all-sporting match-up against West Coast Eagle Brand Manager Emma Mackie.

McDougall has been preparing for the bout over the past month and turned out at Glory-s first official pre-season training session on Thursday to get some last minute tips and lesson in fancy footwork from the players.

“It was awesome to have the support from the Perth Glory boys,” said McDougall.

“It’s that little bit of extra encouragement I need right before the fight!

“There was a great positive vibe around the club on their first day back as they look towards a big season ahead and hopefully I can get them a win to start things rolling,” McDougall added.

Perth Glory has lent its name and support to the event to assist in raising money for a variety of charities that benefit from the Royal Queensbury Corporate Challenge. The event is in its second year and will again see 20 of Perth-s corporate executives and celebrities go toe to toe in 10 action packed bouts.
