The one-off design was today officially unveiled by the squad at training and the players liked the new look.
“I think it-s a lovely strip and it-s great to celebrate our association with QBE,” Perth Glory captain Jacob Burns said.
“It-s something the fans will also appreciate and with a warm day tipped for Sunday, we-ll be nice and cool in this light colour.”
Perth Glory and QBE share a loyal partnership, with the insurance giants becoming major sponsor of the club 15 years ago in 1997.
“It’s not often you get to celebrate two milestones in one year,” QBE-s National Operations Manager, Mr Ray Zannino said.
“With QBE celebrating 125 years of insurance and Glory reflecting on 15 years of history, 2011 is a year to remember.
“And as longstanding major sponsor since 1997, we’re delighted that the Perth Glory players will be helping us celebrate our anniversary with a commemorative blue strip this Sunday.”
With a big crowd expected for Sunday-s game against Wellington Phoenix, to help celebrate the anniversary, the first 8500 fans will receive a free QBE clapper stick, and 8 lucky fans will have the chance to compete at half time as part of the giant QBE jigsaw competition.
