Josh Risdon was last night crowned Perth Glory’s Players’ Player of the year for season 2011/12.

Josh Risdon was last night crowned Perth Glory-s Players- Player of the year for season 2011/12.

The award was presented to Josh at a special Chairman-s dinner held to celebrate Perth Glory-s best season in the Hyundai A-League.

“I-m really humbled to win this award because I have the highest respect for my teammates and coaches,” Risdon said.

The award caps-off a sensational twelve months for the 19 year-old from Bunbury.

In a break through season, Risdon played 24 games, mostly at right full-back and starred in the club-s finals campaign.

Risdon-s form was also noted by Qantas Soccceroos head Coach Holger Osieck who invited him to a two-day training camp in Sydney and Olyroos Coach Aurelio Vidmar who selected him in squad for and London Olympic-s qualifying game.

“I-d really like to thank all the coaches for helping me improve my game,” Risdon added.

“This season has been a great experience and one I have thoroughly enjoyed.”

Perth Glory-s annual MGP Ball will be held in June.
