PGFC Academy confirm home venue for NPL WA campaign

The club can confirm that the PGFC Academy First Team, Under-20s and Under-18s will play their home games in the upcoming 2020 NPL WA season at Forrestfield United’s Game Guardian Stadium.

To accommodate Forrestfield United’s own State league fixtures, the three teams will not always follow directly on from each other at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Saturdays as is the norm in the NPL.

Instead, a number of the First Team games will be played at 7.15pm on Friday evenings, with the younger age groups then playing on the Saturday.

The PGFC Academy First Team will be looking to build upon a strong showing in the pre-season Night Series tournament when they reached the last four and their first test at their new home ground comes in the form of last year’s State League Division One champions Gwelup Croatia on Saturday 14 March (U-18s at 11am, U-20s at 1pm, First Team at 3pm).

Following that season-opener, Glory are set to visit Floreat Athena in Round 2 before hosting Balcatta in Round 3 on Friday 27 March (kick-off at 7.15pm), with the U-18s and U-20s getting underway at 11am and 1pm respectively on Saturday 28 March.

Other First Team fixtures worth looking out for include a proposed game in Albany against Sorrento in the Regional Round on Saturday 2 May, a meeting with reigning NPL champions Perth SC at Forrestfield on Friday 30 May (kick-off at 7.15pm) and a home clash with NPL heavyweights Bayswater City on Saturday 25 July (U-18s at 11am, U-20s at 1pm, First Team at 3pm).
