Sam Kerr has scooped yet another honour after being named in the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) 2017/18 Westfield W-League Team of the Season.

The Glory skipper’s return of 13 goals from nine games secured her place in the PFA’s XI for the second successive year, while also earning her the competition’s Golden Boot award.

Glory were further represented by Rachel Hill who was named among the substitutes after a hugely-impressive debut season in which she scored nine goals and led the league for assists with 6.

PFA President Alex Wilkinson said the players selected in the team emphasized the high quality and growing stature of the Westfield W-League.

“On behalf of the PFA Executive I would like to congratulate each of the players selected in the 2017/18 PFA W-League Team of the Season,” he said.

“The reputation of the league continues to grow and we have seen that through the calibre of the players who have graced the field this season and also through the standard of the football that was played.

“All of the players who featured in the W-League this season should be commended for taking the women’s game in this country to another level and demonstrating its potential.”
