Adriano Pellegrino has struck for his new club against his old club, as Central Coast defeated Perth Glory 1-nil in a pre-season friendly today at Knox Grammar School in Wahroonga, Sydney.

The former Glory midfielder struck from close just before half time after, breaking the deadlock with the games only goal.

And it took a deflection to beat the outstanding Danny Vukovic in the Glory goal, as Matt Simon-s free kick fell into the path of Pellegrino, deflecting off the wall.

Playing against one of his former clubs, Vukovic was outstanding, making several first class saves.

Both teams made numerous changes in the second half, rotating their players ahead of the Hyundai A-League season.

Perth Glory will spend the week in Sydney ahead of the club-s final pre-season game next Saturday against Sydney FC.

Perth Glory starting line-up: 1.Vukovic, 2.Mitchell, 4.Mehmet, 7.Burns (c), 8.Hughes, 10.Miller, 13. Dodd, 16.Berger, 19.Risdon, 21.Sterjovski, Isaia.

Perth Glory-s first game of the Hyundai A-League season is at home on October 9 against Adelaide United. The blockbuster will kick-off at 4.30pm.
