The 24 year old was in demand from several clubs, including his home town of Adelaide, but only had eyes on extending his time at the Glory where he-ll remain until at least the end of the 2010/11 season.
Pellegrino joined Perth for their new campaign and has played every match, adding plenty of tenacity to the centre of the park as well as creating goal scoring opportunities with pin point passes on the run and with the dead ball.
“I have been very happy in Perth and I see a great future for the club and wanted to be part of that,” Pellegrino said.
“We-re definitely on the improve, you know it-s always difficult when a new squad of players come in but we-re working well now and hopefully we can keep the group together and continue to build on what we-ve started.
“I had a great feeling from the first moment I joined the club and set myself to be here for the long haul. We have plenty of good things to look forward to and who knows I might even be able to play out the rest of my career here,” Pellegrino said.
Coach Dave Mitchell believes the diminutive South Australian will be an important cog in the future of the Glory midfield and applauded his loyalty to Perth.
“I have always thought highly of him as a player and he has come here on a one year contract, done very well and has been rewarded for his efforts,” Mitchell said.
“He is a valuable player in our squad and I think that as the team continues to gel together you-ll see more and more of what Adriano has to offer.
“He is a feisty competitor and a great character to have around the club and his loyalty to Glory shouldn-t be underestimated,” said Mitchell.
“He loves Perth, has fitted in really well and it-s great to have him on board.”
