Perth Glory FC is proud to announce it has re-signed talented youngster Mitch Oxborrow for another year, after he was awarded a Hyundai A-League senior contract for the 2015/16 campaign.

The 20-year old left-footed midfielder arrived at Glory last season, on a one year National Youth League deal.

He made his senior debut in Glory’s 3-1 home win over Melbourne City in Round 26 and featured in the starting line-up the following week, in the 2-1 away win, over Western Sydney Wanderers in the last game of the season.

“I’m stoked to be at Perth for at least another season. I didn’t really want to go anywhere else and what’s more, I’ll be playing in front of my home town fans and members” he said.

“I’d like to thank the club and particularly coach Kenny Lowe for believing in me and giving me another chance to show my potential” he said.

Lowe said Oxbrorrow had performed well during the Youth League campaign and showed maturity beyond his years in his two senior appearances.

“Mitch is a gifted young player who applied himself throughout the year and he’s been rewarded for that. He’s got natural ability and we’ll be looking to draw on that coming into the new season” Lowe said.

Oxborrow, who was born in England but raised in Perth, has represented Australia at U-17 and U-20 level.

Prior to signing with Glory he played two years with the Newcastle Jets.
