Perth Glory youth will battle it out with Melbourne Victory youth in their clash at 6PR stadium on Saturday.

After thrashing the Victory 5-0 in the first round of the 2010/11 season, Perth is keen for another strong performance in front of a home crowd.

The glory boys head into this week-s match following a convincing 2-1 win over Adelaide United and will take plenty of confidence into the match after securing their first home win of the season.

Since their first encounter with Glory, Melbourne has fought their way back into the top four, ensuring this match will be a blockbuster bout.

Perth Glory might be without versatile defender Ryan Pearson who was named in the senior squad for their match on Sunday. Pearson was influential in the win over Adelaide as he gave glory the lead with a superb strike in the 19th minute.

The glory young guns will be confident they can cover the potential loss of Pearson as they have in previous weeks, with plenty of talent coming through the ranks at the National Training Centre.

The lads will look to in-form captain Dean Evans to lead his team through the midfield and another strong performance from Alex Pearson between the goal posts.

Sitting just one point shy of league leaders Brisbane Roar, glory youth will be out to reclaim top spot on the National Youth League table.
