After the completion of our fourth season in the National Youth League we are now setting our sights on improving again for next season, a process which begins with the selection of players.

We will again be looking for the best young local WA players aged between 16-20 (born 1991-96). With an existing strong base of players to draw on from our experience last season the 2012/13 Perth Glory Youth Team will be commencing the trial process in June.

Please note that until further notice from the Football Federation of Australia, the age of eligibility for the National Youth League is as follows;

A player is turning 16 on or after the 1st of January 2012 during the year in which the NYL commences with the maximum age being 20 on or after the 1st of January 2012 during the year in which the NYL commences.

The FFA will allow 1 player turning 21 on or after the 1st of January during the year in which the NYL commences.

Trials will take place over three weeks at Inglewood United Soccer Club, please refer to the schedule below for dates and times.

Week 1 Sunday – 24th June 3-5pm
Week 2 Sunday – 1st July 3-5pm
Week 3 Sunday – 8th July 3-5pm

ALL PLAYERS NEED TO REGISTER AND SIGN A TRAINING DISCLAIMER.

Players are advised to arrive well in advance of this time to allow for registration. A physio will be present at all sessions and injured players will not be allowed to trial.

Should any changes occur to trials the club and nominated players will be advised immediately by email.

Following the trial period, an assembled squad of the successful trialists will train once a week. Further details will follow in due course.

Players selected will be offered a Football Australia NYL agreement with PGFC Youth Team for the upcoming season. Any player accepting such a nomination will need to be ready to join the squad at this time; if a player selected is not able to fulfil this commitment then their agreement will be offered to another player.
