New Perth signing Adam Taggart says the resurgent Glory are playing some of the best football he’s seen at the club.
The former Hyundai A-League Golden Boot winner and Perth boy was on the sidelines as Glory defeated Melbourne Victory 3-2 in front of over 10,000 fans last weekend at nib Stadium.
Kenny Lowe’s Glory remain seven points outside the top six but notched back-to-back wins for the first time this season, scoring nine goals in the process after hammering Newcastle Jets the week before 6-1.

The upswing in Glory’s fortunes has Taggart eager to get back on the park.
“This is fantastic, this is the best I’ve seen Perth play in a long time and it’s great to now be involved and see them doing so well,” Taggart told Fox Sports.
The 22-year-old re-joined his former club following a frustrating 18 month spell at Fulham.
However having already represented the Championship club and gone on loan to Dundee United this season, FIFA regulations prevent Taggart from turning out for a third side.
Despite the enforced hiatus Taggart was optimistic about his footballing future.
And as striker Andy Keogh has also returned to the club during the transfer window, Glory set to boast a razor-sharp front line next season.
“I can’t wait. It’s obviously a little bit of a wait but it’s going to be an exciting time next season and hopefully we can go further,” said Taggart.
“At the same time my job at the moment is to support the boys here and try help them to make the finals this year.”
Taggart was part of the recent Olyroos squad that contested the AFC U-23 Championship but didn’t play a minute due to an injury concern as Tony Vidmar’s side failed to get out of their group.
Injuries have blighted the striker’s progress since he was included in the Socceroos’ 2014 World Cup squad but Taggart is determined to use his lay-off to come back a stronger player.
“It’s a unique opportunity the next few months and it’s something I really need to utilise,” he said.
“It’s not an opportunity many footballers would get so I’m going to make the most of it and make sure my body and everything else is ready for the start of next season.”
