Midweek Matters

It’s Wednesday again and that means it’s time to round up the latest news coming out of Glory HQ.

Plenty to ponder

Several of Glory’s highly-rated youngsters are pressing their claims to be named in Glory’s squad for Saturday’s high-stakes clash with Melbourne City.

Daniel Stynes, Walter Scott, Callum Timmins and Riley Warland have continued to impress in training in recent weeks and could force their way into Kenny Lowe’s section thoughts as he prepares for the Round 21 showdown at nib Stadium.

Unfortunately, however, both Chris Harold and Brandon Wilson will miss the game due to injury, while Shane Lowry is also unavailable through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against Wellington last time out.

Kick off is at 7pm and you can grab your tickets HERE.

Liam Remembered

With Saturday marking the first home game since the tragic passing of Liam Miller, the club will be honouring its former midfielder in several ways.

Liam Miller meets fans

A tribute video will be screened before the game, the Glory squad will all warm up wearing tops bearing the number 10 and there will be a minute’s applause during the 10th minute, at  which point a tribute graphic will be displayed on the big screen.

NPL is go!

There’s a quadruple-bill of Glory to enjoy this weekend as the club’s National Premier League WA sides are also in action on Sunday.

The Under-18s, Under-20s and first team open their new season by taking on Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens with the three games kicking off at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm respectively.

So do get along and lend the lads your support if you possibly can.

All the best to Mitch and Marc

Mitch Nichols and Marc Warren both parted company with the club earlier this week.

The duo had their contracts terminated by mutual consent, with Nichols allowed to leave for family reasons and Warren to explore opportunities elsewhere.

The club would like to thank them for their services and wish them all the very best for the future.
