Midweek Matters

There’s been plenty going on here at Glory HQ with pre-season now well and truly underway.

Here’s your summary of what’s been making the headlines…

Big week in store

Neil Kilkenny high fives fans

Glory are set to take to the field twice next week, with Bayswater City and Manchester United providing the opposition.

Tony Popovic’s side will head to Frank Drago Reserve on Tuesday (9th July) to take on City, with admission to that game FREE and kick off at 7pm.

Then on Saturday (13th July), all roads lead to Optus Stadium where Glory will tackle Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils (kick off at 7pm).

Tickets are still available for this prestige friendly, so click HERE to book your seat.

Squad continues to take shape

Glory’s latest new recruit, Jacob Tratt, was thrust straight into a full-on pre-season training session when he arrived at the club on Monday.

The former Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix defender took the tally of new player arrivals to four, with Bruno Fornaroli, Nick D’Agostino and Dane Ingham having previously put pen to paper.

Youngsters target table-toppers

2019 NPL - Balcatta v Glory - Zayd Farah competes

The PGFC Academy First Team will be gunning for revenge on Saturday when they visit Dorrien Gardens to take on NPL WA ladder leaders, Perth SC (kick off at 3pm).

The Azzurri did, of course, pip Glory to both the league title and Top Four Cup last term and have backed that up by establishing a nine-point lead at the top of the table after 14 rounds of the current campaign.

They did lose their unbeaten record last weekend, however, when they were upset by Rockingham and if last season’s meetings with Glory are anything to go by, we could be in for a thriller.

Ahead of that game, Glory’s Under-18s are in action at 11am and the Under-20s will be looking to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table when they get underway at 1pm.

Do get along to lend the lads your support if you can and a big thank you to all our members and fans who continue to back our Academy teams both home and away.

Membership Matters

Glory v Jets - fans arriving at Kids Zone

The early bird membership renewal window will close on 20th July, meaning if you haven’t done so already, you don’t have long to secure your same seat for next season and save money in the process!

There are also some fantastic options available for new members, so there has never been a better time to join the Glory family for the first time and make sure you’re there to experience all the excitement and drama as Popa’s men look to build on last season’s historic Premiership triumph.
