Members Equity Banks on Glory

Members Equity Bank will be a key plank in the prosperity of football in Western Australia after committing their support as major sponsor of Perth Glory’s youth and women’s teams.

Members Equity Bank will be a key plank in the prosperity of football in Western Australia after committing their support as major sponsor of Perth Glory-s youth and women-s teams.

The National Youth League, which provides an elite development pathway for 16 to 21 year old boys, and the Westfield W-League, an open age national competition for women, kick off for the first time in 2008 as football continues its rapid growth in Australia.

Members Equity Bank will feature prominently on the front of shirt on both teams in a move that will significantly benefit the new Perth Glory squads.

“It-s important for Members Equity Bank to support the community. Research shows that our members are enthusiastic about the commitment we-re making to these kinds of sponsorships and we-re delighted to be involved,” said Paul Kelly, National Manager of Advertising & Sponsorship at Members Equity Bank.

“Football is a global game and can open up avenues for our youth and women to experience what the world has to offer while learning important life lessons and community values.

“As naming rights sponsor of Perth-s rectangular stadium we see great value in helping Perth Glory utilise this wonderful community asset,” Mr Kelly said.

Perth Glory CEO Scott Gooch said the support of Members Equity Bank was another example of the enthusiastic and loyal commitment the club received from sponsors and corporate partners.

“Sitting alongside the Hyundai A-League, the introduction of the Youth League and the Westfield W League, is a step towards the development of a super club concept, similar to the structures in place in the major football countries of the world,” Mr Gooch said.

“This is our objective and we see Perth Glory Youth and Perth Glory Women-s as having a positive influence on the direction and growth of our club. It wouldn-t be possible however without the support of our partners and we are extremely appreciative of Members Equity Bank and their commitment to the exciting future of football and Perth Glory.”
