Perth Glory Women’s starlet Samantha Kerr has proved that Western Australian players have the goods, scoring two goals for the Australian national team in the final of the AFF U16 Women’s Championships, to help the team take out an 8-0 victory against Thailand.

Perth Glory Women-s starlet Samantha Kerr has proved that Western Australian players have the goods, scoring two goals for the Australian national team in the final of the AFF U16 Women’s Championships, to help the team take out an 8-0 victory against Thailand.

Coming off the bench at the 60th minute, Kerr added two goals to Australia-s score, in the 67th and 82nd minutes, helping the team finish at the top of the AFF table.

The Australian team will compete at the AFC Championships in Thailand next month.

The talented WA player was part of the Perth Glory Women-s team in the inaugural 2008/09 season, and has been re-signed for the 2009 season.

The Glory Women currently sit fifth on the ladder following one win, one loss and one draw in the first three rounds of the Westfield W-League competition.

Perth Glory will meet Adelaide United in Round 4 at Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide with the match broadcast on ABC 1 from 3pm WST.
