Junior members came from far and wide for the ‘Meet the Players- day held at a Perth Glory training session during the January school holidays.

The kids all watched eagerly as coach Dave Mitchell took the boys through some exciting drills and a mini match, with the pitch surrounded by junior members and their parents all decked out in Glory gear.

The Tompkins Park training ground was turned in to a sea of purple with junior members running about eager to try all of the activities on offer.

There was the Glory inflatable goal, TKO cage and Beat the Wall comp while our friends from Jungle Soccer had some fast-paced small sided games going with plenty of eager participants despite the hot conditions.

The barbecue was also cranked up by the boys from the Perth Saints Football Club for a delicious sausage sizzle to keep the energy levels up!

Players quickly freshened up after training and then joined in the fun. They signed hundreds of autographs and took turns to save some great shots at the Glory inflatable goal while others took on the two versus two challenge of the TKO cage. Some of the players also helped form an extra big wall in the QBE ‘Beat the Keeper- comp.

The event was a huge success with Glory Junior Members relishing their chance to have fun with their favourite Glory stars.

This is just one of the great events that Perth Glory Junior Members take part in throughout the season and we look forward to many more fun activities in the future.
