Harnwell limped off the ground in the 92nd minute of Saturday-s 1-nil win over the Newcastle Jets at nib Stadium.
The injury setback is a massive blow to Harnwell as he closes in on Bobby Despotovski-s games record of 241. In brilliant early season form, Harnwell is four games shy of the mark.
Star forward Mile Sterjovski will also be unavailable for up to 2 weeks after an MRI confirmed he has damaged a ligament in his ankle.
Sterjovski picked up the injury in a tackle with Newcastle Jets defender Ljubo Milicevic during the first half.
