Former Celtic goal keeper Jonathan Gould will arrive in Perth today as the club-s new goal keeper coach.

Gould, a former international, who was part of Scotland-s World Cup squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, has signed for Perth Glory after spending the last two seasons at Wellington Phoenix.

His appointment will focus on training Danny Vukovic and Neil Young, and developing the next generation of ‘keepers through the clubs expanding community program.

Gould has already worked with Vukovic at the Phoenix last season and is looking forward to his new challenge.

As a player, Gould had a distinguished career in the United Kingdom, playing 154 games for Celtic while also having stints with Preston North End, Bradford City and Coventry City. In total, he made 321 appearances between 1991 -2009.

At Celtic, Gould was part of the club-s championships in 1997/98, 2000/01 and 2001/02. He also won the Scottish Cup and League Cup.

Gould has also worked as an assistant and goal keeping coach with the New Zealand U-17 and U-20 squads.
