Glory’s road to finals

History awaits Kenny Lowe’s troops with four games remaining in the regular season.

Following a tough away trip to Melbourne in Round 23, Perth still has 12 points up for grabs as the finals race heatsĀ up.

Glory currently sits in 5th place, just one point behind Brisbane Roar (4th) and Melbourne City (3rd) who both have a game in hand.

Sixth-placed Wellington Phoenix is seven points adrift of Perth at the moment but the next four weeks will shape the top six, if not the top four.

Glory will face three of the top four teams in the run home, starting with an exciting blockbuster against top of the table Sydney FC in Round 24 at nib Stadium.

And the only remaining away fixture is the short trip across the Nullarbor to Coopers Stadium to face cellar-dwellers Adelaide United.

Glory then returns to host Brisbane and Melbourne City on Easter Sunday.

These two matches could be the most telling and defining games for a top-three finish and an all-important home final and an Asian Champions League berth.

“To have a final in Perth…I think we all know when our fans get behind us we’re almost unstoppable,” club stalwart Richard Garcia said recently.Ā
