Perth Glory women will have a purple and pink kit for Saturday’s match against Sydney FC

Perth Glory Women is proud to release its special pink and purple playing strip to be worn in this weekend-s Westfield W-League clash with Sydney FC.

The kit designed by the team-s apparel supplier Kelme, will be worn to raise awareness about breast cancer in the Glory-s annual National Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser match.

The match has been staged each Westfield W-League season since the mother of inaugural Glory player Danielle Calautti sadly passed away from her battle with breast cancer.

NBCF is the leading community-funded organisation in Australia raising money for research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer.

Young Matildas and Perth Glory star Marianna Tabain is thrilled to wear the special edition outfit and hopes that fans can come out in force with pink and purple clothing to support the cause.

“The kit looks fantastic and all of the girls can-t wait for Saturday-s match,” said Tabain.

“While we will be looking to make an impact on the pitch, we need everybody-s support off the pitch to make it a successful event so we can raise much-needed funds for breast cancer research.

“We-re hungry to stay on top of the table and this match is vital as we will be having an extra week-s break next weekend.”

Part proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will all go towards NBCF. Volunteers will also be collecting donations at the venue, while Football West will also donate $500 for each Perth Glory Women goal scored.

The special edition pink and purple playing tops will be on sale at nib Stadium this Saturday morning.

The first 100 paying customers through the gate will also receive a complimentary ticket to Sunday-s Hyundai A-League clash between Perth Glory and Western Sydney Wanderers.

Any fan with a physical ticket to the A-League match will also receive free entry to Saturday-s W-League clash by presenting it at the gate, so two matches for the price of one.
