For the second time in just over a month, Perth Glory’s Spanish striker, the sensational Diego Castro, has been named in the EA SPORTS’ FIFA 17 Team of the Week.

And he’s in some fine company with the likes of compatriot Fernando Torres, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku – who went past Tim Cahill as Everton’s second-highest scorer with his four-goal haul last weekend – also in the squad.

Castro was also this week named in the Hyundai A-League Team of the Week for Round 18 as well as the competition’s Team of the Month for January.

He’ll again be crucial to Glory’s hopes of another three points this weekend as they travel to Adelaide to face the Reds in Harvey Norman Friday night football.Castro has been in fantastic touch for Glory since the turn of the year and earned his selection with a man-of-the-match display against Newcastle Jets.

The 34-year-old scored a first-half brace and was almost untouchable all night as Kenny Lowe’s side prevailed 3-2.

After an injury-disrupted start to the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season, the reigning Johnny Warren Medallist is now back to his best and a major factor as Glory chase down a top-four spot

Castro’s selection comes just five weeks after he was one of three players from the Hyundai A-League to make the squad in the same week, alongside teammate Liam Reddy and Melbourne Victory’s Fahid Ben Khalfallah.
