Perth Glory will join the nine other A-League clubs, and 22 state league teams from across Australia, including local Western Australian clubs, Stirling Lions SC and Bayswater City SC, in this Friday-s highly anticipated draw for the Round of 32 of the Westfield FFA Cup.

The launch of the Westfield FFA Cup earlier this year created much excitement and now, after several rounds of local member federation cup competition, that has involved almost 1,000 clubs, the draw for the final 32 clubs will be made live and exclusive this Friday at 10.00am WST on Fox Sports News.

Comprising of the ten Hyundai A-League clubs and 22 teams from local member federations across the country, the Round of 32 Draw will be held at Fox Sports studios and determine who is up against who. The draw will be made from 3 Pots. Pot A will be made up of the Hyundai A-League semi-finalists, Pot B the six remaining Hyundai A-League clubs including Glory, and Pot C will contain the 22 clubs from the various Member Federations including Stirling Lions and Bayswater.

Glory will be drawn against one of Melbourne City, Wellington Phoenix, Newcastle Jets, Sydney FC, Adelaide in one of three all Hyundai A-League v Hyundai A-League fixtures. There will be nine Member Federation v Member Federation match ups and four Member Federation v Hyundai A-League encounters setting up potential giant killer fixtures.

“The magic of the Westfield FFA Cup is already so apparent. It-s great to see the likes of Bayswater and Stirling get the opportunity to compete at this level and demonstrate the strength of the local WA competition.” Perth Glory CEO Jason Brewer said.

“It-s also fantastic to see teams such as Adelaide City, South Coast Wolves (formally Wollongong Wolves), Sydney Olympic and Melbourne Knights, old foes from the National Soccer League, whom we shared such great history and rivalry with and who I-m sure all fans would love to see playing each other again at some stage in the competition.”

The Draw for the Westfield FFA Cup will begin at 10.00am WST on Friday 27 June and in addition to being shown LIVE on Fox Sports News (Channel 513), it will be streamed online on the official Westfield FFA Cup home page.

Glory fans will get the chance to join the players and coaches and other members of the club, as well representatives from Football West, Stirling Lions FC and Bayswater City FC, at a special live screening of the draw at the Terrace Lounge, 185 St Georges Terrace, from 9.45am this Friday.
