Kenny Lowe is unconcerned over Perth Glory’s long winless run, certain his side is “still in the mix” for the Premiers’ Plate over the final month of the regular season.
Glory’s winless run stretched to nine games after they conceded in stoppage time to draw 1-1 with Central Coast Mariners in Gosford on Sunday.

Super-sub Jamie Maclaren’s 79th-minute header looked like giving Perth a vital three points but they were denied by a stunning Nick Montgomery strike at the death.
League-leaders for a mammoth 16 weeks this season, Perth now sit fourth having not won since beating Melbourne Victory in Geelong on January 2.
“The main thing is to keep believing,” Lowe said.
“We’re still in there with as good a shout as anybody. We’ve had a great year, we just don’t want it to peter out.
“Everyone will be focused, I know the coaching staff are. There’s five games to go and let’s see where we end up after 27 [rounds].
“There’s a lot more twists and turns to come in this league and we’re in the mix.”
Lowe felt his side made things too easy for the Mariners for much of the first half but was much happier with their second half effort.
He admits being so close to victory only to have it snatched away late on was “deflating”.
“We’re looking to get out of a little drawing streak that we seem to be in,” Lowe said.
“We want to win and it would have been a confidence booster as well to go back to the top [of the ladder].
“[Montgomery’s goal] was fantastic and it’s just a pity to concede right at the death.
“The first 15 to 20minutes we were ok and probably the latter parts of the first half we were a bit too expansive. They cut us through a few times, had a few chances and looked dangerous.
“But second half we rectified it and there was nothing in the game second half.”
Glory midfielder Mitch Nichols hobbled off late on with what looked like a hip injury which will need to be assessed ahead of next weekend’s home clash with Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
