Perth Glory have added two young and quick attacking players to their squad for the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League season with the signatures of Chris Harold and Adrian Zahra.

Born in Perth, Harold, 19 years-old has signed a two-year deal after a stand-out year with Gold Coast United and Zahra, 21 years-old, joins Perth Glory from Melbourne Heart.

“We identified that we needed to inject some youth and speed into our squad and both players fit the bill,” Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson said.

“Chris Harold is a young West Australian who can play a variety of positions in midfield and out wide.

“We are delighted to have him on board.

“It-s also great to add Adrian.

“We watched quite a lot of him this season as he recovered from a serious knee injury.

“In one of the games he actually scored against our Youth team and all the reports are very positive.

Zahra is a natural right winger who has played 19 Hyundai A-League games.

“I am delighted to sign with Perth Glory and really want to thank Ian Ferguson for the opportunity,” Zahra said.

“Perth had a great season and I-m looking forward to starting a new chapter.”

Harold will arrive in Perth in June after he completes his semester at University. He is currently studying law-commerce.

“I am really excited to prove myself at a club that made it all the way through to the Grand Final and got so close to winning the Championship,” Harold said.

“Moving back to Perth is a fresh start and I-m keen to try and make my mark.”
