Perth Glory FC and Harry O’Brien have mutually agreed to terminate the young attacking midfielder’s contract effective immediately.

20-year old O’Brien joined Glory in August 2013, after playing for local NPL club Cockburn City.

In the past two seasons, O’Brien has played a host of pre-season and National Youth League matches.

“I’d like to thank the playing group, coaches and the club for its help over the past two years. It’s been a great learning experience and I’m now looking forward to my next football chapter” O’Brien said.

It’s understood O’Brien will return to Cockburn to play in the state league competition this year and focus on his studies.

Meantime, Glory will travel to the Central Coast this weekend, to take on the Mariners who sit in eighth spot on the Hyundai A-League ladder.

Perth return to nib Stadium to face Asian Champions, Western Sydney Wanderers on March 28.
