Glory ready for SHINJI Ono

The arrival of Wanderers star Shinji Ono is creating huge interest for Sunday’s game at nib Stadium.

Perth Glory stars Shane Smeltz and Michael Thwaite will both be available for selection on Sunday despite playing for New Zealand and Australia respectively on Wednesday night.

The star pair were both part of international friendlies overseas but despite the heavy schedule, both are expected to be at training on Friday morning.

Thwaite played a full 90 minutes for the Socceroos in their 2-1 win against Korea, starting the game at left full-back before being moved into the centre of midfield. It was Thwaite-s seventh cap and his first for Australia since 2007.

Smeltz was substitute for the Kiwi-s in their 1-1 draw against China.

Sunday-s match against Western Sydney will also see the arrival of the Wanderers marquee man Shinji Ono. The Japanese star is one of the Hyundai A-League-s biggest stars and his arrival is attracting huge interest.

The capacity of nib Stadium will also be increased on Sunday to 11,179 with the completion of the Southern Family Stadium.
