The Glory are only four points away from challenging for a finals spot and with five games still to play the season is far from over for the girls in purple.
Glory coach Nicola Williams has a full strength squad at her disposal with the return of Sam Kerr from Young Matildas duties in Kuala Lumpur as well as the addition of new ‘keeper Luisa Marzotto who has been signed as a season long injury replacement for Kate Stewart.
Marzotto, a former u20 World Cup player for Australia, will come straight into the reckoning for the clash, as Williams looks to shore up the inexperienced defence as the foundation to securing all three points.
The squad was further boosted with the news that Lisa De Vanna looks likely to shake off a corked thigh suffered last weekend against Newcastle Jets, with the striker forced off only 30 minutes into the game.
“Lisa is a proven international player and adds that killer instinct in front of goal for our team” said Glory coach Nicola Williams.
“Sam Kerr will also add some much needed pace and flair to our midfield and we are confident of scoring some goals for our fantastic fans” she said.
