New Perth Glory FC signing Antony Golec, has arrived in Western Australia ready to begin a new chapter in his football career.

The 25-year old stopper arrived in Perth with his lovely mum Jan this morning, who were both excited about what lay ahead for the next two years.

“I’m really happy to be here.I’ve heard so many positive things about the club and the city and to be honest, I just can’t wait for pre-season to begin” he said.

Golec said he asked his mum to come along for the flight to get to see just how beautiful Perth is.

“She’s never been here before so we thought it was a fantastic opportunity for her to come along and see where I’ll be spending the next two years of my lilfe”.

Golec, who is of Croatian descent, didn’t shy away from the fact that his mum would probably cook up a few big meals before she left.

“I’m actually a very good cook but  I can’t cook authentic Croatian food so of course I’m going to convince her to come along” he joked.

The 194cm Sydney born left-footed defender, made 17 appearances with Asian Champions Western Sydney Wanderers last season.
