The first Glory In Business Lunch of 2019 proved to be a huge success, with Tuesday’s event at Crown Perth attended by more than 400 guests.

Glory In Business was formed in 2018 as an exclusive networking group for those who wish to be close partners of Perth Glory and assist the club’s aims of being sustainably successful.

At the conclusion of the event, Popovic and skipper Diego Castro both addressed the audience directly – here’s what they said:

Popovic: “Thank you to everyone for being here – we certainly appreciate the support.

“Together we want to have success once more and we’re doing everything we can in terms of our preparation.

“The players are fully focused. We want to win and hopefully, with your support, we can enjoy some more great victories.”

Castro: “We had a successful season last year because, in my mind, the key was the chemistry between the fans, the supporters and the professionals [players].

“I would like to say let’s make that happen again and get another trophy this season.”
