Perth Glory FC will complete its local pre-season schedule against the WA Amateur State Team this Wednesday at Percy Doyle Reserve in Sorrento.

Head Coach Alistair Edwards is expecting another good hit out from a local representative side after taking on the Best of the North side last Wednesday at ECU Joondalup Sport Complex, which Glory eventually won 3-1.

“It’s another great opportunity to take our game to the Northern suburbs,” Edwards said.

“Every game against the state representative sides has been of great quality and we expect this game to be no different.”

“These games are crucial in getting the support from the clubs in preparation for the upcoming season,” he added.

WA State Amateur coach Steve Dimitrovich is under no illusion as to how hard the game is going to be for his side.

“It-s nerve-wracking, to be honest,” Dimitrovich said.

“I went and watched Glory at ECU (against a Best of the North team) last week and they were very well organised.

“It-s going to be a very difficult task but I said to the boys ‘it-s there for us to enjoy. You-ll be playing against the best team in the State.-

“And you never know what might happen. Out of these games opportunities can arise and I know the boys are relishing the chance to play against Perth Glory.”

The Glory will wrap up their Hyundai A-League pre-season campaign with an away match to Sydney FC on Sunday, 29th September before their opening game of the season against Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on Sunday, 13th October.

Perth Glory will play their first home game of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League Season at NIB Stadium on Sunday, 27th October against Melbourne Heart.
