After starting the 2012/13 Westfield W-League in the best way possible, Perth Glory will be looking to make it back-to-back victories when the team comes up against Adelaide United this Saturday afternoon.

Last weekend saw the Glory defeat Melbourne Victory 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Kate Gill and Marianna Tabain. This time around they will be looking for redemption after wooden spooners Adelaide United defeated Perth last season in what was the Lady Reds- first victory in 35 attempts.

England goalkeeper and Chelsea Ladies captain Carly Telford was thrilled to keep a clean sheet last week against Melbourne and is hoping for more of the same this weekend.

“I-m really looking forward to it, the girls put a really good shift in on Sunday,” said Telford.

“I think we-re a bit of an unknown quantity to a lot of clubs and I think people might be shocked by the result but we-re a side where we-re going to be competitive this year and we set high standards for ourselves, so we-re going to be competing in this league.

“I think Adelaide on Saturday should be a good game for us and it was competitive last year, but I think we-ll be looking to pick up the three points and it-s important for us to pick up momentum into the harder games.”

Young gun Ella Mastrantonio has been included in the17-player squad after returning from a knee injury, along with defender Thia Eastman who is in contention to make her Westfield W-League debut.

Westfield Matilda Aivi Luik will have to wait at least another week to make her Perth Glory bow as she recovers from a hamstring injury.

Kick-off on Saturday will be 3pm.
