Perth Glory players treated students from Beaconsfield Primary School to a fantastic afternoon of football fun as part of a competition run with The West Australian.

Primary schools entered the competition through the voucher published in the Ed! section of the paper and Beaconsfield were the lucky winners.

Over 100 students participated in the football clinic run by Perth Glory community officer Callum Salmon and received some expert coaching advice from Perth Glory stars Jamie Coyne, Adriano Pellegrino, Scott Neville, Steven McGarry, Josh Mitchell and Andrija Jukic.

“It was fantastic having Perth Glory visit our school. The students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the clinics and getting to know the players.

“It was such a great opportunity to expose our students to athletes of this calibre and show them what is possible for them beyond school,” Principal Joel Yates said

The students were split into four groups and experienced elite coaching in dribbling, passing and small sided games. The afternoon ended with students being given the rare opportunity to chat to their Perth Glory heroes and enjoy some great giveaways, including autographed posters.

Perth Glory-s community program, together with Chicken Treat, aims to reach as many young Western Australians as possible in the hope of having a positive affect on the wider community.
