Excited Ota has eyes set on Glory

Kosuke Ota - challenging for the ball in Japan game

Following today’s exciting announcement that Kosuke Ota has joined Glory for the A-League 2020/21 Season, we managed to grab a few words with the new recruit.

Here’s what he had to say…

PGFC: Kosuke, how are you feeling now that the move to Glory has been announced?

KO: I am grateful to the people involved in the talks and am very excited about the new challenge.
Now I really want to come to Perth and meet my teammates and fans as soon as possible!

PGFC: What are you aiming to achieve with Glory?

KO: Perth Glory has many talented young players and huge potential for the future. Experienced players, including myself, want to lead the team.
My target is to help the team claim both the A-League and AFC Champions League Championship.

PGFC: What do you know about Perth as a city?

KO: After I decided to sign with Perth Glory, I contacted my teammate, Mitchell Langerak in Nagoya Grampus and Nathan Burns who played with me in FC Tokyo.
They both said Perth is very nice city, so that made me even more excited!
I actually travelled to Perth three years ago because my friend lives there and at that time I saw the stadium and wanted to play there someday.
I am sure my family will also very happy to be in Perth and I am really looking forward to seeing you all soon!
