Walsh relishing Cup challenge

It’s shaping up to be quite a week for Daniel Walsh.

He started it by getting his first taste of training with the First Team and he’s set to end it by lining up for the Perth Glory Academy First Team at Dorrien Gardens as they attempt to seal a place in the NPL Top Four Cup Final at the expense of Perth SC.

Not bad going for a 15-year-old who started the year as the club’s Under-18s captain!

And when we caught up with him for a chat, he was as composed in front of camera as he has been at the heart of Glory’s defence this term.

The McInerney Top Four Cup semi-final against Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens kicks off at 3pm on Saturday, so do get along to lend Daniel and the rest of the lads your support if you can.

Glory’s Under-18s, meanwhile, have a major semi-final to look forward to against Bayswater City at Cockburn’s Dalmatinac Park on Saturday (kick off at 2.30pm) and later in the day at the same venue, the Under-20s also face Bayswater with that game set to start at 4.45pm.

The best of luck to everyone involved!
